Minor Ailments Scheme

Pharmacists Can Help with Minor Ailments

Did you know that pharmacists and chemists can often assist with a range of common conditions?

In South Manchester, the Minor Ailments Scheme allows pharmacists to provide medications that would typically require a prescription. If you have an exemption from prescription charges, you will receive the medication free of charge.

If you do pay for prescriptions, you will be charged the standard prescription price. However, pharmacists may also be able to provide certain items off the shelf, which could be a more affordable option than a prescription cost.
